As Upper Moon Three, Akaza fights with a devastating hand-to-hand martial art empowered by a Blood Demon Art that hardens and reshapes his limbs into piercing, needle-like strikes. He possesses extraordinary regeneration and can read a fighter's rhythm to counter almost instantly, but is finally destroyed by Tanjiro and Giyu in Infinity Castle Part 1 after his demon regeneration fails against the coming dawn.

Akaza is a lean, muscular demon with spiky pale blue hair and dark markings around his eyes, fighting bare-chested in simple hakama-style trousers. His body carries no visible wounds despite constant combat, thanks to his rapid regeneration.

Akaza is a battle-obsessed demon who genuinely respects strength and repeatedly tries to recruit worthy opponents into demonhood rather than simply kill them. Beneath his brutal exterior lies a buried human memory of protecting the weak, which occasionally surfaces as unexplained hesitation.
