Goto is an average-height, fit young man whose face is almost entirely concealed by the head covering and mask worn by all Kakushi, revealing only half-moon-shaped brown eyes.

Sardonic and dry-witted, Goto frequently makes cutting internal or blunt spoken remarks about the Corps' more eccentric members, from Zenitsu and Inosuke's antics to Hotaru's temper.
