Regarded by Tanjiro and Inosuke as the strongest Demon Slayer in the Corps, Gyomei wields a massive spiked flail-and-axe alongside a Nichirin blade, using Stone Breathing's crushing, immovable techniques to overpower enemies. His extraordinary physical conditioning fully compensates for his blindness in battle.

Gyomei is a towering, immensely muscular man who dwarfs his fellow Hashira, with shaved-sided black hair, a scarred forehead, and sightless white eyes from childhood blindness. He wears prayer beads at all times alongside his Corps uniform.

Gentle, soft-spoken, and deeply pious, Gyomei contrasts his intimidating build with genuine humility and emotional sensitivity, often moved to tears by small kindnesses. Raised in an orphanage, he carries guilt over the children he once tried to protect.
