Sharing the Upper Moon Six rank with Daki, Gyutaro's Blood Demon Art poisons enemies through cuts from his sickle-and-chain weapons, with the toxin intensifying with each subsequent hit. His emergence from Daki's back is treated as the pair's shared awakening, unleashing their combined destructive power until Tanjiro's group finally kills them both.

Gyutaro is an emaciated, hunched demon with long stringy hair and jaundiced skin, hidden inside Daki's body until forced to emerge; his true form reveals sickle-wielding arms and a sickly yellow, blood-stained complexion.

Gyutaro carries deep resentment from a childhood of poverty and abuse, and he is fiercely, almost obsessively protective of his younger sister Daki, the only person he has ever loved. His bitterness manifests as vicious, indiscriminate cruelty toward anyone he perceives as looking down on him.
