Serpent Breathing

Despite being blind in one eye, Obanai ascended to Hashira using Serpent Breathing, a sinuous style derived from Water Breathing that mimics the unpredictable movement of a snake. He coordinates closely with his companion Kaburamaru and fights directly against Muzan Kibutsuji during the Infinity Castle confrontation.

Obanai is a short, lean young man with heterochromatic eyes, one yellow and one teal, and bandages wrapped around the lower half of his face concealing scars. A live white snake named Kaburamaru is perpetually coiled around his shoulders.

Harsh, strict, and unforgiving of weakness, Obanai holds himself and others to demanding standards shaped by a traumatic upbringing in a family that worshipped snakes. Beneath his severity he harbors deep, unspoken devotion to Mitsuri Kanroji.
