Rei has no fighting ability or awareness of the supernatural; she lived an ordinary domestic life as the unwitting cover identity for Muzan Kibutsuji's disguise as a family man in Asakusa.

Rei is a youthful woman of average build with fair skin, dark hair styled in a neat bun, and large dark brown eyes. She dresses in Western-style clothing, a powder-blue dress accompanied by a white cloche hat trimmed with a pink flower.

Kind and openly affectionate, Rei dotes on both her young daughter and the man she believes to be her husband, entirely unaware of his true nature. Her warmth makes her utterly oblivious to the war between demons and Demon Slayers unfolding around her.
