As the Wind Hashira, Sanemi fights with explosive, aggressive Wind Breathing forms that emphasize overwhelming offense, and his body can partially regenerate after ingesting demon blood. He holds his own against Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, showcasing physical abilities that even impress the demon.

Sanemi is tall, heavily muscled, and covered in scars, with spiky silver-white hair and pale purple eyes that redden with anger. He wears the standard Corps uniform with a distinctive patchwork haori sewn from fabric scraps.

Volatile, abrasive, and quick-tempered, Sanemi lashes out easily and holds deep resentment toward demons after his mother and siblings were killed by one. His harsh exterior conceals genuine, if poorly expressed, care for his estranged younger brother Genya.
