Senjuro trained for a time in swordsmanship as Kyojuro's presumed successor, but ultimately lacked the aptitude to become a Demon Slayer. He now dedicates himself to quieter forms of service rather than combat.

Senjuro shares his family's striking looks, with fair skin, bushy black eyebrows, and gold eyes reddening near the pupil. His unruly hair fades from gold to red at the tips, much like his brother Kyojuro and father Shinjuro, and he wears a plain white yukata.

Initially shaken by his brother's death and his father's cold rejection, Senjuro finds renewed hope after a heartfelt talk with Tanjiro Kamado, revealing the kind and caring person beneath his sadness. He accepts that he lacks the skill to continue the family's Flame Hashira legacy and chooses instead to help people in his own way.
