Insect Breathing

Lacking the physical strength to decapitate demons, Shinobu developed Insect Breathing around a flexible, poison-coated blade, using speed and toxin rather than brute force. She engineers increasingly potent wisteria-based poisons capable of killing Upper Rank demons, and gives her life fighting Doma during the Infinity Castle battle.

Shinobu is a petite, delicate-looking young woman with wavy black hair fading to purple, tied into a bun with a butterfly ornament, and unusual eyes resembling an insect's compound gaze. She wears a lavender-accented version of the Demon Slayer uniform.

Shinobu presents an unfailingly sweet, smiling exterior that masks deep grief and a quiet hatred of demons stemming from her sister Kanae's death. She is sharp-tongued underneath her cheerful mask, frequently teasing colleagues like Giyu while hiding her true feelings.
