Shoichi has no combat training; his courage in following Tanjiro and Zenitsu into the Tsuzumi Mansion to search for his brother is a purely civilian act of bravery.

Shoichi is a short young boy with black spiky hair and hazel eyes rimmed in a thick black border, a trait he shares with his siblings. He wears a blue haori over a light green kimono with a white juban underneath.

Braver than most children his age, Shoichi shows loyalty and protectiveness toward his siblings, following his older brother Kiyoshi's trail after his kidnapping and shielding his younger sister Teruko along the way.
