Hinokami Kagura

Though weakened by illness, Tanjuro mastered the family's inherited Hinokami Kagura dance passed down from his father, performing the taxing ritual annually and teaching it to his son Tanjiro alongside the family's hanafuda earrings.

Tanjuro is a frail man with black hair tipped in red and red eyes shading lighter at the bottom, marked from birth with a forehead scar much like his son Tanjiro would later bear. Chronic illness left his skin pale and dull, and he wore a checkered haori strikingly similar to the one he would pass down.

Quiet, calculating, and deeply forgiving, Tanjuro carried a noble, watchful presence despite his frail health, avoiding drawing attention to his own abilities. He was unfailingly gentle with his family but showed no hesitation to protect them if threatened.
