Guess the Quote

Guess the Quote is a daily Demon Slayer game about voices rather than faces. Every day one line from the anime appears on screen, and you have four attempts to name the character who said it. The pool covers 116 quotes from 47 characters, from Tanjiro Kamado's stubborn kindness and Zenitsu Agatsuma's panicked wailing to Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui, Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Moons.

If you enjoy a demon slayer quiz that tests how well you really listened, this is the one. Battle cries like a named Breathing Style form are fair game, but so are quiet lines from mentors such as Sakonji Urokodaki and Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and even Nezuko's muffled noises from behind her bamboo muzzle.

Read the quote, then start typing a name in the search box. The suggestions only list characters who have at least one line in the game, with a portrait next to each name, so you can pick from the list or type the full name and press Enter. Names that are not in the list are rejected without costing an attempt.

A wrong answer is crossed out under the quote and uses one of your four attempts, shown as dots beside a running timer. Many quotes come with an optional hint describing the moment or the speaker's situation, which you can reveal with a single tap. If you are stuck you can give up, and the answer is revealed along with the character's portrait.

The quote is the same for every player and changes at midnight UTC, with a countdown to the next one once you finish. Your daily streak and best streak are tracked, and signed-in players who solve it appear on the daily leaderboard, ranked by the fastest time. If you win while logged out, your time is kept and submitted once you sign in that day.

Listen for the voice first. Tanjiro talks about protecting Nezuko and understanding demons, Inosuke shouts challenges, Zenitsu begs to go home, and Rengoku speaks about setting your heart ablaze. Demons tend to sound very different: Muzan is cold and contemptuous, Akaza obsesses over strength, and Doma is cheerfully empty.

Technique names are near giveaways. A line that names a Breathing Style, such as Thunder, Water, Flame or Serpent, points strongly at its best-known user, though remember that several characters share Water and Flame Breathing, including teachers like Urokodaki and Shinjuro Rengoku.

Use the hint before your last attempt, not after. The hint often places the quote in a specific arc, such as the Mugen Train, the Entertainment District or the Swordsmith Village, which cuts the candidates down to the characters actually present in that fight.
