KimetsuDle is a daily character-guessing puzzle inspired by Wordle, built specifically for Demon Slayer fans. Each day a secret character from the anime is selected and you have six attempts to identify them. After every guess the game reveals colour-coded clue tiles that tell you how close your guess was across every tracked attribute.
The tracked attributes include Rank, Species, Gender, Age, Status, Affiliation, Family, Technique Type, Story Arc, and Awakening. Reading the clues across all of them lets you narrow the field dramatically with each guess, even if your first attempt lands nowhere near the target.
Reading the Colour Tiles
Green means you matched that attribute exactly. If the Affiliation tile turns green after you guess Sanemi Shinazugawa, the secret character also belongs to the Demon Slayer Corps — use that to eliminate everyone outside the Corps immediately.
Yellow signals a partial match, most common on attributes with an ordering to them: Rank (Kinoe is close to Hashira on the corps ladder) or Total Concentration Output (a nearby but not identical value). A yellow tile means you are in the right neighbourhood but not exact.
Red means no match at all. Two consecutive red tiles on Family is genuinely useful — it rapidly narrows the pool of possible characters without wasting guesses on unrelated attributes.
Best Opening Guesses
Start with a character whose attributes cover the most common values in the roster. Tanjiro Kamado is a strong first guess: male, Demon Slayer Corps affiliation, Kamado family, Breathing Style user, and an Awakening on record — his result calibrates several attributes at once.
Nezuko Kamado makes a strong second guess if Tanjiro's Family came back green: she shares the surname but differs on Species, Rank, and Technique Type, giving fresh information across every tile.
Avoid opening with an obscure minor demon or background civilian. Their unusual affiliations and near-zero Total Concentration Output teach you far less about the broad middle of the roster and waste an early guess.
Using Arc and Rank as Filters
Story Arc is one of the most powerful filters in the game. The anime is divided into distinct arcs — Final Selection, Mount Natagumo, Mugen Train, Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, Hashira Training, Infinity Castle — and a green Arc tile immediately rules out a large share of the roster in one step.
Rank works similarly at the top end of the scale. Hashira and Upper Moons are rare, so a green Rank tile combined with either of those narrows your candidates to a handful of names instantly.
If you are down to two or three candidates and both their Arc and Affiliation match, Status (Alive / Deceased) often breaks the tie. Several arcs — Mugen Train and Entertainment District especially — have heavy losses, so keep a mental note of who did not make it to Infinity Castle Part 1.
The Rest of the Roster: Other Daily Games
KimetsuDle is only one of seventeen daily games. Higher or Lower asks you to compare Total Concentration Output between two characters and build a streak. Nichirin Wordle is a five-to-seven-letter name/term wordle. Connections groups sixteen names into four hidden categories. Pixel Guessr is a pixelated-portrait guess, and Impostor (Impostor) asks you to spot the one character in a group of four who does not share the others' trait.
Every game draws from the same underlying character data, so getting comfortable with the attributes in KimetsuDle — Rank, Affiliation, Family, Technique, Arc — pays off across the entire site.
